How to order your repeat prescription
Ordering your repeat prescription can be done in a number of ways:
Via your nominated pharmacy
Sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Or registering for Patient Access
The best way to order repeat medication is to register for patient access, please follow this link:
Please remember prescriptions request take 48 hours to process. You must wait 48 hours before chasing prescriptions.
If you are emailing after 12.30pm your request will be processed the next working day. The surgery is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, and therefore the email is not checked on these days. Please be aware requesting your medication after 12.30pm on Fridays would mean you receive your medication on Tuesday.
Please order your medication in enough time, as ordering medication late can lead to delay in receiving your medication.
If your request was submitted over 48 hours ago and you are still not in receipt of your medication then please call the surgery.
If you are requesting a prescription by email you will need to include the following information:
Date of birth
What medication you require
The chemist that your prescription goes to
Once submitted, we will process your repeat prescription request within 48 hours. It will go electronically to your local pharmacy. If you are away or want to use a different pharmacy to the one closest to your address, please let us know either on ordering or by telephoning the surgery.
Finally, this is only for repeat, regular medication. We cannot add items on at your request. You must speak to a GP in regards to this.
