Sexual Health Clinic
We offer sexual health screening and treatment. You don't have to be registered with the practice, just a resident in Manchester.
Contraception
We offer coil and implant fittings to all residents of Manchester. To book an appointment please telephone 01618728129.
Emergency Contraception is provided by Faith Pharmcy, M15 6PQ, on a drop in basis.
You can obtain a repeat of your contraceptive pill online using the box below.
Private Medical Examinations and Supporting Letters
We offer a range of private medical services such as Taxi Medicals and also supporting letters/letters of identity/extenuating circumstances letters
Gender Identity Clinic
We are one of the founding members of Indigo Gender Identity Service. The service has a base at Cornbrook Medical Practice. One of our GPs, Dr Philippa James, is a specialist in Trans Health.

NHS Health Checks
A free health check for patients aged over 40. It's designed to spot early signs of stroke, kidney disease, heart disease, type 2 diabetes or dementia.
Homeless Access Hub
We support those facing homelessness, asylum seekers, refugees and we offer flexible registration for all.
We run a weekly drop in clinic at Cornerstone Day Centre/Morning Star Hostel every Tuesday at 12:30. During winter we offer Flu Vaccines and where possible COVID19 vaccines.
Social Prescribing
Do you need more help at home? Do you need help managing your finances, housing or any other non medical problem that you feel you need help with
Travel Clinic
If you are travelling abroad we can give you advice and a range of vaccines. Please ensure you book your appointment 6 weeks before you travel to allow us time to order in stock and for your vaccines to have maximum effect. If you book an appointment less than 6 weeks before travel you may be directed to a private travel clinic. Once you complete your travel questionnaire below one of our nurses will call you to come in.
Long Term Condition Management
We manage your long term conditions at the practice as a practice team. You may see our pharmacist, nurses, hcas, GPs or any other team member best placed to help you manage your long term condition.
A long term condition is a phsyical problem that requires ongoing management for life, this includes Asthma, Mental Health, Dementia, COPD, Diabetes, Hypertension
Pregnancy and Baby Clinic
There's lots to remember when you become pregnant or give birth. We've written a guide to help you manage the health of you and your baby and explain the baby clinic immunisation process
Student Health
One of our sites is in the heart of University Green. We welcome and register all students. We are at freshers fair every year talking to you about our services. To access the student health guides see the links below.
Over 75s
Cornbrook Medical Practice supports you by offering you a named GP accountable for your care and oversee your care plan. We give priority for flu vaccines and offer an Annual Physical and Mental Wellbeing Assessment

Are you a carer? Do you have a carer? Do you know or support a carer? We've made a one stop resource for Carers here:
We want to make sure our carers register is up to date so if you are a carer or have a carer please let reception know to update your records. We can also help signpost you for support with finances and support around the house too.
Did you know that as a carer you can get an annual health check for free along with a flu vaccination with our HCA, Hayley? Simply contact reception to book this in for you.
We can also help you access the extended access GP appointments so you can access GP and nurse services when you have some time to yourself. Speak to reception for more info.
