Did Not Attend and Lateness
When a patient does not attend an appointment without giving notice, this is recorded as a Did Not Attend (DNA). Missed appointments reduce availability for other patients and impact the practice’s ability to provide timely care.
All DNAs are formally recorded, and patients who repeatedly miss appointments may be contacted by the practice. If a patient accumulates three DNAs within a 12‑month period and there are no mitigating circumstances, they may be removed from the practice list following clinical review.
We encourage all patients to cancel unwanted appointments as early as possible via text, phone, online services, or in person to help us maximise appointment availability.
